Javea is a beautiful coastal town located in the Marina Alta, north of Alicante province. It is one of the most popular resorts of the region; Alicante airport is just over an hour’s drive away. The town is divided into three areas: the old town, the port and the Arenal.

Holidays Javea – The Weather
More than 320 sunny days per year with an average temperature of 20 °C. No wonder it has been recommended by the World Health Organisation. The weather in Javea is very hot during the summer period, temperatures range from 30°C to even 35°C some days. However during winter the temperature is very mild with an average 19°C – 20°C.

Javea Old Quarter
In the Old Quarter you will find the Church of Sant Bartolomé which dates back to the 14th century. The Church was badly damage during the Spanish civil war and even today you can see the bullet and shell marks on some parts of it.

Visit the municipal market, it was built in 1946 and has been refurbished recently. There are excellent fresh products like vegetables, meat and fish.

Another place to visit in the old quarter is the Soler Blasco museum where you will find the main images and objects in the history of Javea.

Holidays Javea – The Port
Fantastic scenery, restaurants and bars specialising in fish dishes, shops, a cinema and other attractions is what you will find when visiting Javea Port. A walk through the Esplanade along past the harbour will make your day or evening a special one.

The Port is home to the Club Nautico which has excellent facilities and a sailing school. Next you will find the Santa Maria de Loreto church built in 1962 (it is boat shaped). Javea Port history goes back to the 15th century and the main activity was the export of raisins. Today, it still works as a fishing port.

Javea Golf
If you fancy playing golf during your holidays, Javea will tempt you with a nine hole golf club located in a wonderful natural setting, surrounded by pinewoods. Javea Golf Club is not a long course but it has a certain degree of difficulty due to the many bunkers around it. There are bars, restaurant, TV room and other facilities available for visitors.

Holiday Villas Javea

Javea Airport
Javea is located about 85 Km to the north of Alicante Airport (ALC). You can rent a car in Alicante Airport and reach Javea via the N-332 road along the coastline which offers spectacular views as you go along.

If you dont feel too confident driving away from home you could book a taxi, minibus, coach, or limousine transfer between the airport and your holiday accommodation.

When you think about which Javea beach to explore, with over 25Km of coastline,there are many coves and lovely beaches to choose from with unparallel natural beauty.

The geology of Javea offers underwater caves and caverns that await exploration.

Holidays Javea – The Beaches

El Arenal beach is just one of the best in the area with beautiful sand and shallow water. It offers a full range of facilities (blue flag) such as children and ball game areas, restaurants, bars, etc.

About 8km to the south of the beach there is a rocky outlet, Cabo de la Nao, where you can enjoy the amazing views of Javea and even Ibiza on a clear day.

Montañar 1
Beautiful beach close to luxurious villas. The sea is blue turquoise and you can practice sailing, water skiing and windsurfing among other sports and activities. Close to La Grava and El Arenal beaches.

Pope or Tango
Small cove located near the Nautical Club and close to the reserve of Cabo San Antonio. You can do different trekking routes.

La Grava
This is an urban beach that is located in the area to the south of the port and close to Pope and Montañar beaches.

Cala Blanca
Close to the Arenal beach it offers a beautiful view of white rock cliffs. Also known as La Caleta, it is only accessible on foot.

La Granadella
Ideal for scuba diving. It is located between Ambolo and Playa Del Moraig beaches.

Ambolo
Located south of Cabo de la Nao and in front of the Descubridor island, this beach is almost untouched. A fantastic place for scuba diving. Close to La Barraca and Granadella beaches.

La Barraca and Portitxol
La Barraca beach has impressive cliffs covered with vegetation. Its waters are pure and clear blue . Portitxol Island is located in front of La Barraca beach and is an ideal place for snorkeling and enjoy exotic rock formations.
