Torremolinos has many clean sandy beaches and 7 km of Paseo or promenade on which to stroll, maybe stopping off at one of the many ‘Chiringuito’ or beach bars for a cool drink!

One of the throwbacks from the 60’s is also the massive choice you now have for hotels and motels. From two star pensions to three and four star hotels, the choice is yours. Golf on the Costa del Sol is also high on the “to do” list, with many great courses locally.
Is Torremolinos a good holiday destination?
The main centre of Torremolinos is Calle San Miguel which has been pedestrianised and accommodates a great variety of boutiques and shops. Off which lead interesting lanes still housing tiny traditional shops and market stalls selling souvenirs.
As you pass down Calle San Miguel towards the sea, it gets steeper with steps leading down through the old fisherman’s quarters of La Carihuela which still retain much of the charm of days gone by, ultimately leading you down to the Paseo and the lovely beach of Playa de Bajondillo.
Torremolinos marina is great to walk around admiring the boats moored up, and with many bars and restaurants to choose from why not sit and watch the world go by! Just a short stroll from the marina area is the Casino which offers a great night out. Not only for those wishing to have a flutter, they also have a magnificent dinner and show spectacular.

Torremolinos Nightlife & Restourants
Restaurants in Torremolinos cater for every taste, from every culture in every price bracket! You may be pleasantly surprised by some of the smaller, less assuming looking places. Flamenco is thought to have originated in this area of Andalucia and many restaurants offer fantastic, passionate shows that are well worth seeing.
The mixture of cultures that choose to holiday here, including the Spanish, mean many great nights out for all, whatever you enjoy. Torremolinos also has a thriving gay community with many popular pubs and clubs.
For family fun, other than lounging by the pool, why not go down to the beach where para-gliding, inflatable banana boats and pedaloes are among sports offered along much of the beach. Another great fun day out is Aqualand, located just 10 minutes from the town centre. Whether you like the kamikaze or twister, or just a float down the lazy river, this park has much to offer the whole family.

If you tire of the sun why not visit Crocodile Park? Located towards the back of Torremolinos next to Aqualand this park gives you the chance to study these pre-historic monsters close up!! They have live demonstrations throughout the day with their experienced handlers, which is an eye opener!! Enjoy too the crocodile lake and mini zoo and the nursery where the babies are reared. If you’re brave enough, you can even have your picture taken holding one!! Not for the faint-hearted!! The Crocodile Park is open from 10.00am daily.

The near-by equestrian centre El Centro de Equitacion Club ‘El Ranchito’ offers amazing horse ballet and gymnastics, all done to music. It is worth booking this as it gets very busy and seats are limited 952 383 063. They also offer trekking through the nearby country side.
For evening entertainment for the family why not try the 10 pin bowling alley ‘Bolera Montemar’. This is located close to the Paloma Hotel and is a great family night out. It opens at 5pm daily and reservations can be made by calling 952 387 459.
The fair of El Carmen is celebrated every year in the fishing quarter of La Carihuela with a procession of the Virgin through the local streets. Torremolinos’ main fiesta however celebrates the festival and feast of its patron saint San Miguel at the end of September every year with local celebrations throughout the town.
